Tutor Perini Awarded Two Civil Construction Projects Totaling $102 Million

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building construction company, announced today that it has been awarded two civil projects. The projects’ details are provided below.

US 301 (1A), SR896 to SR1

Tutor Perini was awarded a contract by the Delaware Department of Transportation valued at approximately $69.8 million. The scope of work includes the construction of the initial, northernmost 3.4-mile section of the four-lane U.S. 301 toll road, including interchanges, ramps and other structures. Work is expected to commence in January of 2016 and substantial completion is expected in late 2018. The contract value will be included in the Company’s reported fourth quarter backlog.

Chuuk International Airport Runway 04/22 Phase II Rehabilitation

The Company’s Guam-based subsidiary, Black Construction, was awarded a contract by the government of the Federated States of Micronesia valued at approximately $32.6 million. The project is being funded by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration under the Airport Improvement Program. The scope of work includes the rehabilitation of Runway 04/22, as well as improvements to apron and taxiway surfaces at the Chuuk International Airport. Work on this project is expected to commence in January of 2016 and substantial completion is expected by the end of 2017. The contract value was previously included in the Company’s reported third quarter backlog.
